All you need to know about Victoria Pedretti a.k.a Love Quinn from Netflix’s ‘You’

Love Quinn. One of the main characters from Netflix’s ‘You’ Season 2, based off Caroline Kepnes’ book, ‘Hidden Bodies.’ But who is she? Well here is all that we know:\

Love Quinn

You season 2 is finally here, and this time around we’ve found Joe Goldberg, our protagonist—er, we mean serial killer—running away to L.A. after Candace (the ex he thought he murdered) resurfaced. And of course, Joe being Joe, he finds a new woman to obsess over—and this time, her name is Love, played expertly by up-and-coming actress Victoria Pedretti. Her portrayal is easily one of the highlights of the season as she plays a sunny, optimistic baker who’s fighting to get through some epic family drama. But as the season continues, we soon learn that the latest object of Joe’s affection isn’t exactly what she seems—but don’t worry, we won’t spoil it for you.

Psychotic Behaviours

“I think she sees [Joe] as being quite similar and relating in a lot of ways beyond any psychopathic behaviours she’s not aware of,” Pedretti said of Love when talking to Variety. “But I do think she catches on and is pretty accommodating to a lot of his funny business because she knows he has a hard time asking for help and is very much a loner. But I don’t think she sees those qualities as necessarily bad or suspicious. I think she sees them as the product of somebody who’s deeply wounded by the world.”

On other Netflix shows

Aside from You, if you have a super active Netflix account or are a fan of incredibly spooky TV, chances are you have seen Pedretti before in The Haunting of Hill House. Below, we give you a little insight into the star playing one of You’s most intriguing characters yet.

Other Acting Gigs

Pedretti’s first-ever acting gig was as Eleanor “Nell” Crain Vance in Netflix’s hit horror series The Haunting of Hill House. And much like You’s Love, Nell was also a grieving widowed wife…fighting to protect a twin brother with substance abuse issues. But though they have eerily similar (and specific) backstories, that’s where the comparisons end.

“They do not internalize any of these experiences in the same way,” Pedretti told W magazine. “[Love’s] very self possessed and I really like that. Especially after playing somebody who strained a lot trying to figure out who she was in the world.”

Different story

The actress will star again in the anthology series’ follow-up, The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is set to premiere in 2020. As it’s a completely different story this time around, Pedretti won’t be playing Nell, but instead, a “governess who takes care of two very unusual children,” so there’s that.

Pedretti also appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio-fronted Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as a member of Charles Manson’s cult.

Single

And before you ask if she’s single, it looks like she’s not dating anyone.

With a quick scan of Pedretti’s recent red carpet appearances and a look at her, not super-active Instagram account, it seems that the up-and-comer might currently be a single lady. However, she did open up to Cosmopolitan about a past breakup that she got over with the help of Wawa mac and cheese. Relatable? We think so.

Graduated from

She graduated from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and was dubbed the “oldest degree-granting drama program in the United States,” Pedretti—who grew up in Philadelphia—graduated from the Pittsburgh University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and was cast as Nell soon after.

“The thing about being an actor is that nobody tells you what you’re supposed to do,” Pedretti told Flaunt magazine in October. “You kind of define that for yourself. Nobody is going into your journal, checking your notes. It’s on you. You decide what that means to you. And to me, my responsibility as an actor is to bring characters to life. Not stereotypes. Not tropes. But to bring true human people to life so that audiences can have their own relationship with them. That’s all.”
