Demi’s New Tattoo Sends a Big Message

Demi Lovato is giving herself a permanent reminder that everyone should remind themselves: Love Yourself.

Reveal via Instagram

The “Tell Me You Love Me” singer took to Instagram last night to reveal her newest tattoo. The word “me” written in small letters on the inside of her left ring finger. The new ink is simple yet makes a big statement. Demi has more than twenty other tattoos.

The Caption

“Me first. Thank you @winterstone for my new forever reminder.” She captioned the black and white photo. Later posting on her Instagram story, “Can’t love anyone unless you love yourself first.”

Making New Music

This message came days after the young, twenty-six year old revealed she was back in the studio creating music.

“You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it.”

Overdose

Demi overdosed in July of 2018 and was hospitalized for nearly three weeks before entering treatment. Demi promised that she would eventually share her story, maybe the time is coming? Perhaps she will share her story through her new music.

“Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened, and what my life is like today… but until I’m ready to share that will people please stop prying and making shit up that you know nothing about I still need space and time to heal.” Demi Tweeted

Sober

Her hit song “sober” was released after her overdose. Since the release, Demi has been focussing on finding her confidence.

Clapped Back

This past March, Demi clapped back after a headline described her as having a “fuller figure.”

“I AM MORE THAN MY WEIGHT, unlike the past, I’m not triggered, I’m not upset that someone wrote a headline about my ‘fuller figure.’ I’m angry that people think it’s okay to write headlines about people’s body shapes. Especially a woman who has been so open about being in recovery from an eating disorder. I’m not upset for myself but for anyone easily influenced about diet culture.”
